The Saint Hilaire Large Market Tote Bag
The Provenance
Named after the historic market town of Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët on the Normandy border, celebrated for its historic November fair and large weekly market. This large-format cabas is tailored for rural life—equally at home at a weekend farmers' market or packed for a day in the field.
Note: This is an exclusive bench-run of just two pieces globally, utilizing a rare, limited batch of heavyweight waterproof canvas.
The Utility & Materials
Built with a focus on form and structural endurance, this tote features an unlined, wide-open interior designed to take a heavy haul without complaint. An internal canvas slip pocket keeps small essentials separate and secure.
The Canvas: Robust, heavy-duty waterproof canvas in a deep, muddy earth tone that will develop a distinct patina with age.
The Hardware: Hand-set brass rivets securing the straps to the main body.
The Straps: Thick, vegetable-tanned genuine leather shoulder handles, cut to sit comfortably over a wax jacket and designed to soften with use.
